Kevin M. O’Sullivan is the founder, president, and CEO of The Knowledge Compass, Inc., provider of management consulting services to the global marketplace. Kevin. Is also the: founder and chairman of Star Knowledge Global Holdings, president and CEO of Star Knowledge Technology Alliance Team, LLC, and CEO of LL Corpus Cogere, and member of the board of a portfolio of start-up business ventures. He has significant experience supporting start-up business ventures for management and governance, specific-industry knowledge and focus, product development, and overall management of all start-up activities.

Kevin has successfully demonstrated over the last thirty + years a unique skill for helping organizations improve their competitive advantage, profitability, and leveraging of technology assets. Kevin’s career highlighted by working with clients in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, and the Pacific Rim in over thirty countries. His compelling strength is in applying lessons learned and best practices from dissimilar industries and geographies, thereby helping drive innovative change to the client’s business paradigms.

Previous positions have included: Managing Principal for the Financial and Insurance Practice of Xerox Professional Services, Managing Principal for Unisys Corporation’s Financial Management Consulting Practice, First Vice President & Treasurer for Smith Barney and Consulting Director of Coopers & Lybrand’s Financial & Investment Practice.

These positions have included direct responsibility for securities trading, FX and money market trading and hedging, risk management, strategic business modeling and planning, business reengineering, innovation, new product development, knowledge management, information security, software development, compliance, customer service, business intelligence, enabling change, e-learning, marketing, market research and start-up business planning, development and implementation.

Kevin received BS and MBA degrees from Pacific Western University and is an honor graduate of the Securities Institute, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is also a registered Securities Dealer and Principal with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).

He has authored a wide array of articles that frequently appear in industry, business, and technology publications. He is currently a contributing journalist for the Global IT Knowledge Forum, editor and author of the Knowledge Compass and Star Knowledge BLOGs and the author of Money Management in the Banking Industry: Methods for Maximizing Interest Income, published by the Wharton School/SIA.

A frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, Kevin has conducted training courses and workshops for leading professional and public sector institutions and agencies worldwide. A selection includes: COMDEX, American Bankers Association-ABA, British Institute of Banking, Finance Ministry (China), Institute of Banking (Malaysia) Securities Exchange Commission-SEC, New York University – Graduate School, Bank Marketing Association (Argentina), Info Smart Africa (South Africa), and Union of Aseguradores Colombianos-Fasecola (Colombia). He was a feature and seminar leader at COMDEX and has testified before select committees of the US Congress on topics that include financial and investment techniques, including governance, arbitrage, short selling, and customer protection practices.

Kevin is incredibly proud of a project with USAID in Iraq. In this project, he created a knowledge-centric professional training program for use in the schooling of a new cadre of emerging Iraqi business leaders in marketing, business operations, and financial management. The training program is currently offered in Arabic and Kurdish throughout Iraq and used as a USAID model for similar initiatives in emerging democracies in the Middle East and Africa. This work resulted in a White House commendation from President George Bush.
